Our Regathering Team met on Monday, February 28 to consider updates to our “mask policy.” Throughout the course of the pandemic we have tried to exercise caution, compassion and common sense, while remaining in compliance with guidelines issued by church and government authorities. In response to and in keeping with recent changes to state and local guidelines, and after careful and prayerful  consideration, we have decided to make masks optional inside our church buildings. This change will go into effect on Sunday,  March 6th.*

In an attempt to be considerate of those who may not be ready for  this change, we will ask that during our worship services the balcony be reserved as a “masks only” space. Of course you may choose to continue to wear masks in other sections of the sanctuary but, again, they will not be required.

I am thankful for the patience and thoughtfulness that has been shown by so many of you as we have tried to navigate these difficult  times. We pray that this next step will be a welcome one.

The Regathering Team will meet periodically to evaluate and assess the current situation.

  * One exception to this change is that New Philly Kids (Pre-K to 5th  grade) will be masked during their movie night on March 4 and also in their return to in-person Sunday School on March 6. Evie will send out  additional information.

In all things… love.

“Salem Walk” is an in-person opportunity to learn about three people enslaved by Moravians in Salem between 1771 and 1860. Stories about Sambo/Abraham, Cathy, and Phoebe will be shared by walking to places where they lived, worked, and are buried. After gathering at Home Moravian Church (529 S. Church St.), participants will split into three groups, each group focusing on the life of one individual. Discussion and a brief worship experience will follow.

New Philly Kids Sunday School THIS Sunday, 10:45am
New Philly Empowered Parents- Starts March 20!
As the children gather for their normal New Philly Kids Sunday School, all New Philly Kids’ PARENTS are invited to join me in the Banquet Room for an exciting, new opportunity.
A common feeling amongst adults is something along the lines of “I don’t know how to teach my child about faith and a relationship with Jesus. I don’t know what to say, or what to ask, I’m not a minister!”
Have you ever thought that, even if you haven’t said it aloud? You are not alone! None of us has all the answers, but that’s why we walk the path of faith together and not alone.
So, here’s the exciting news!
On the Sunday that the New Philly Kids start a new unit (about once every eight weeks) Evie will meet with parents in the banquet room while the kids are in the fellowship hall doing their lesson.
We will walk through what the kids will be discussing for the next several weeks. We will take deep dive and unpack what they will be learning so that you know what they are discussing and what they may be wondering.
Evie will also provide you with some conversation starter questions, to help get them talking about what they’re learning and wondering.
