🌸 Spring 2022  🌸

Ever heard the statement, "Flowers are the Earth laughing?" In Washington, DC, we kicked off the season with a gorgeous display of cherry blossoms as far as the eye could see!

Another amazing celebration has been honoring Women’s History Month. Throughout March, we showcased a few titles that our AAAS/Subaru Book Prize has honored, celebrating women in science history. We created a video featuring five women who had a major impact on science history. We also supplemented this video with a larger list of books, Science is for Girls: Books About Girls & Women in Science blog post. This blog features picture book biographies of little-known pioneers to graphic novels about trailblazing women, to ensure that they know that science is definitely for girls.

Sincerely,
STEM Education Team

Have you seen our 2022 Book Prize Winners? Stories cover how scientists use nature to inspire new technology, the history of vaccines, a guide to observing the night sky, and a look at how animals have evolved in fascinating ways.
