FEATURED PLAYLIST: THE KINKS ON RCA
|

On the pod this week, Patrick was joined by Scott Parks for a discussion of an often-overlooked period in the history of English rock giants The Kinks: The RCA Years.
On Tuesday, there was a discussion of the group's 1971 transitional album, Muswell Hillbillies, arguably the last "regular song album" until Sleepwalker six years later. Then we opened the floodgates by exploring 1972's Everybody's in Showbiz.
Wednesday's episode was a study of Preservation Act 1 and 2, released in 1973 and 1974, respectively.
We wrapped up the set on Thursday with discussion of two releases from 1975: The Kinks Present a Soap Opera and The Kinks Present Schoolboys in Disgrace.
Scott and Patrick agreed that the best way to listen to these albums is from start to finish, so we've put together a playlist of them to make things easy for you, dear reader. And yes, we left off Muswell, because you've probably heard that one, anyway.
