CONTRIBUTED ANNOUNCEMENT FROM: Joseph Brennan
SUBJECT: CBMS Conference "Interface of Mathematical Biology and Linear Algebra"
We are delighted to announce that the CBMS conference "Interface of Mathematical Biology and Linear Algebra" will be held (in person) on May 23–27, 2022, at the University of Central Florida, Orlando, FL.

This CBMS conference focuses on the cutting-edge studies at the interface of these two long-time interacting mathematical branches, which has witnessed significant new advances at a higher level. Specifically, recent advances of new algebraic theories and novel applications of classic matrix results have helped to resolve many challenges in mathematical biology, while biologically driven research problems have also attracted an increasing number of researchers in the field of linear algebra.

The conference features ten main lectures co-delivered by three principal lecturers: Pauline van den Driessche (University of Victoria), Stephen Kirkland (University of Manitoba), and Mark Lewis (University of Alberta). In addition, participants will form 6–8 groups and work on a selected research project under the supervision of a principal lecturer or a senior speaker. [Thus, we welcome submissions of research projects related to the conference focus.] A poster session will be held to include contributed presentations.

Detailed information regarding conference registration, financial support, accommodation, and travel can be found at the conference website: https://sciences.ucf.edu/math/cbms

Please feel free to contact us via the conference email address (2022cbms@gmail.com) if you have any questions. We hope to see you in Orlando this May!
