This Largest Leprechaun in the World and former Math teacher believes this is the Best week of the Year.  I am aware of some fun Pi Day celebrations and some fun wearing of the green on St. Pat’s Day.  It is so great to find ways to create fun experiences for our students.  Thank You!!

ONE10 Admin Team Hiring Updates

We have started the process to search for replacements of the ONE10 administrators that have and will be leaving their positions.  The ONE10 leadership will have a new look next school year.  Here are current updates:

• The ISD 110 School Board has selected the Minnesota School Board Association to conduct the new superintendent search.  The position has been posted and a survey has been sent out seeking input to create the superintendent profile. Our website will continue to be updated with the latest information, including a timeline. Superintendent Search  

• The search for the next Director of Teaching & Learning has begun. We will be accepting applications until the first week of April and start the interview process mid-April

• We have started the search for a new Director of Finance.  We will be considering what options we have as we look for qualified candidates.  More information to come.

Introduction to the new HR Director

The new HR Director position has been offered to a very qualified candidate and will be brought forward for school board approval.  We are very thankful for the quality of the candidates that applied for this position. Here is a brief profile of the new HR Director being recommended to the school board:

We have offered the position to Dr. Enid Schonewise.

Enid is an exceptional leader and comes to us from Nebraska with a wealth of experience.  Here are some of her highlights:

• Doctor of Education, Master of Science in Ed. Admin., Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences

• 8 years as Asst. Supt./Director of HR at Westside Community Schools in Omaha, NE.  1900 employees

• 11 years as a Principal at Papillion La Vista South High School in Papillion, NE.   Founding principal where she lead the staffing and construction of this new high school. 176 employee and 1875 students

• 6 years Asst. Principal in same school district

• 9 years Teacher and Coach in Omaha and Plano, TX

• Highly Accomplished...Awards: Woman of the Year, Administrator of the Year, Woman Educator of the Year, Principal of the Year, New Principal of the Year, New Teacher of the Year, NE High School Athletic Hall of Fame

• Division I Volleyball All-American at University of NE and Co-Caption of a National Championship Team, also played pro volleyball with the MN Monarchs

With all this said, the best part about Enid is that she is very personable, fun, loves to collaborate and work as a team and really wants to work and live in Waconia.  We are so fortunate to have found Enid and warmly welcome her to our ONE10 Team.
