Chili Cook-Off: April 23

Do you want to support immigrants' rights? Love chili?  Want a night off from cooking?  Bring your family and friends to enjoy a variety of chili recipes - from sweet to mild to burning hot - and vote for your favorite with your wallet.  The chili with the most votes wins!  Chili will be served with all the usual fixings.

Have an amazing chili?  Sign up here.

Comedic Mime Performance: May 21

Comic mime artist and educator Robert Rivest has been performing since 1990 and has given over 8000 performances and presentations across four continents.  This program highlights the best of Rivest's 30-year career.  Through humorous mime stories, spoken word, physical comedy and a zany cast of characters, he transforms an empty stage into pure hilarity!  A hysterically funny experience that audiences of all ages will relate to.  Supporting immigrants has never been more fun.

May 21, 2022 at 7 P.M.
Trinity United Methodist Church, 361 Sumner Ave., Springfield MA
Tickets are $20 and may be purchased here in the near future.

10th Birthday Party: Call for Volunteers

Our biggest in-person event of the year will be our 10th Birthday Party this summer, celebrating a decade of service to immigrants.  There will be food!  There will be cake!  There will be music!  There will be gratitude and inspiration!

The party will occur on a Sunday afternoon in late July or early August.  Stay tuned for location, exact date, and ticket information.

An event like this will only be possible with the participation of a large and diverse group of volunteers.  Even if your event-planning muscles (or actual muscles) are a bit weak from disuse, please consider joining our team.  A wide range of skills are needed, from cooking to publicity to tech support.

To volunteer, please email NEJFON@newenglandjfon.org as soon as possible.  Remote volunteering options are available.

Thanks in advance for helping our immigrant neighbors access desperately-needed legal aid and peace of mind.  See you at the party!
