MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
It has been a bumpy ride for advocates for protective drug policies over the past few months. It is, if nothing else, a good reminder to fill our lives with other meaningful activities, like working on our own wellbeing.

With that in mind, I'd like to share this article on the importance of forgiveness, because we have all been hurt by others, maybe especially in our community. And because we have all hurt others (and ourselves). My life experiences and peer support work have taught me that everyone is doing the best they can in the moment with the coping skills that they have. My personal challenge this summer will be in forgiving our politicians.

A few housekeeping items. We still need youth 16-24 who use cannabis and/or their fathers for our research study with the University of Toronto on perspectives of youth cannabis use and mental health. Please scroll down and click on the flyers for more information or to participate.

We are also looking for:
  • new members for our board of directors;
  • parents/caregivers with lived experience who will be trained in CRAFT (Community Reinforcement and Family Training) to provide free peer support to other families; and
  • volunteers to help us advocate for protective health laws and/or protective drug policies.
If interested, please contact us at info@farcanada.org. Hope everyone has a summer full of peace and forgiveness.

Namaste,

Angie Hamilton
