April is Child Abuse Prevention Month

As we kick off April and head into spring, we want to thank our kinship caregivers for being a huge part of child abuse prevention. Many kinship caregivers stepped in to prevent and remove their beloved kinship children from abuse and neglect. That is not a small feat and your efforts do not go unnoticed. The Wyoming Childrens Trust Fund and Prevent Child Abuse Wyoming have a great toolkit for you and your kids to do throughout the month. This is a great opportunity to get your kinship children interacting with this effort.

Hoppy Easter

Easter is on April 17th, 2022 and is a great way to bring the family together and make memories. Both Easter and Spring represent newness, excitement and hope. As new eggs hatch, I hope they are filled with all the best surprises both figuratively and literally.  For young children, dying Easter eggs and hunting for candy filled eggs is one of their yearly highlights. We hope this Easter you are surrounded by loved ones. For some fun Easter Activities click the link below.

How can we make an impact on prevention?

The theme of Child Abuse Prevention Month 2022 presented by WY Childrens Trust Fund and Prevent Child Abuse Wyoming is " Growing a better tomorrow for all children together". Every day families, individuals, and professionals work tirelessly to make a difference and prevent child abuse. April is a month dedicated to bringing awareness to child abuse and ways it can be prevented. Together change is possible. Check out our April Blog to learn about practical ways we all can help prevent child abuse in our communities.
