Salted Caramel Apple Streusel Pie is not as charming as I originally thought...which is why we shortened it to Apple Streusel Pie many years ago. (and our rate of being tongue-tied dropped tremendously!)
The pie is the same.
The recipe is the same.
The care and quality are (say it with me!!)...THE SAME!
The only thing that changed was the name.
We do this regularly. If something isn't working after a few months, we do some research and make a tweak.
In the early years of Pie Bar, I struggled with this, but over time I realized that to move forward I have to try to not be so precious about things that are not Pie Bar's "Value Adds." (I obviously read a business book and felt the need to integrate some new terms I learned.)
Our Recipes?
Yes, be precious.
Our Core Values and Purpose?
Oh yes, honey, be super precious.
The Pie Names?
Meh.
Instead of putting value on the pie-flavor-names for precious reasons like "that is what it has always been called," instead we decided to put our value on the pies and the people..Pie Bar's actual Value Adds.
This small change allows the pie-flavor-names to do their job..which is to encourage folks to try a potentially new-to-them flavor of pie.
In 2021, we changed "Lemon Chess Pie" to "Lemon Bar Pie" and (no joke!) sales of that flavor INCREASED.
We are baking our Lemon Bar Pie as an Easter Weekend Vault Release Flavor, and it is delightful..in fact, it is just as delightful as our previously named Lemon Chess Pie. ;)
Pie Flavor Description: Lemon Bar Pie Freshly squeezed lemon juice and lemon zest mixed with a vanilla custard and baked into Pie Bar's Super Flaky Pie Crust. It tastes like the best Lemon Bar you've ever had.
Available Dates (Pre-Order Highly Recommended):

I recommend you enjoy this flavor cold, and if you have a wild hare (lol..get it?!) I suggest you sift some powdered sugar right on top before enjoying a slice. *Chefs Kiss*
