Hi, again! Some of you have written that you're praying for Barrie's surgery and his recovery. THANK YOU! He's doing fantastic! But that's because he hasn't had the surgery yet! It was scheduled for yesterday (the 5th) but three days before then he received a call from his surgeon's office saying a "emergency" had come up and they'll have to postpone Barrie's surgery until May 19th.
We just wanted to thank you for your prayers for Barrie. God will be putting those prayers on hold for a few weeks!
I (Cherri) have been trying to get in to see a hand specialist since my thumb (injured in January) actually seems worse now than a month ago. PT hasn't helped. It won't bend at all at the second joint, sticks out at an odd angle, and is very tender, painful and stiff. I have to follow insurance protocols (☹️) which means I have to see a musculoskeletal doctor next (April 21) before I may see a hand specialist and possibly have surgery. Pray for patience -- it's difficult or impossible for me to do a lot of "simple" tasks. Who knew how important thumbs are?!? (I didn't!)
