GFMD and partners' coordination initiatives for media and journalists inside and outside Ukraine

Since the start of the war in Ukraine, GFMD has been working with other organisations on mapping the needs of many Ukrainian organisations as well as the potential assistance that could be provided to them. GFMD has also  created a dedicated resource centre in Ukrainian for media and media support orgs:https://ukraine-coordination.gfmd.info

➡️ Find out more about all GFMD activities to support media and journalists in Ukraine here.

GFMD has created and continues to update a thematically organised emergency and crisis coordination mapping sheet. More than 60 media support organisations and donors have so far contributed their activities as well as the needs, priorities, and urgent actions they have identified. As a result of the various coordination meetings and the mapping sheet, GFMD has fielded numerous requests for introductions between media support groups.

The full list of partners and members’ initiatives to support media and journalists in Ukraine as well as Ukrainian, Russian and Belarusian media and journalists in exile is available per request due to the sensitivity of the information.
