Asian Studies Awards
Our students at the Capstone have many achievements, and the Asian Studies Program is happy to recognize several awardees.
The 2022 Outstanding Asian Studies Student Award goes to Hannah Petersen. An Asian Studies minor with a major in International Studies, Hannah has studied China extensively and is also completing a Chinese minor.
The 2022 Asian Studies Research Award goes to Sandhu Aladuwaka and Victoria Crane. Both of their award winning papers focused on analyses of tellings of the Ramayana that developed out of Tales from Asia (REL 322) with Prof. Steven Ramey in Fall 2021. Fall 2022 Asian Studies Courses
If you have not registered for Fall 2022 yet, take a look at the opportunities for studying Asia. A variety of Asia related courses include several Core Courses:

Other courses include language courses at a variety of levels, a range of upper level seminars that focus on China, Islam, or Japan, and a University Honors course (for those in the Honors College) that analyzes Africa-China Relations. The full schedule is available on the Asian Studies website.
