Yearly Meeting 2022

Dear Friends,

Thank you registering for Yearly Meeting. We are looking forward to you joining us at Yearly Meeting 2022 from 21 to 30 May.

What happens next

We are busy getting the Yearly Meeting Planner set up and hope to do so by 19 April. Once we have this set up you will receive an email inviting you to login to Sched which is the service we are using to host the YM Planner.

The timetable of events

  • There will be online events and preparation from 21 to 26 May.

  • Yearly Meeting sessions will take place between 27 and 30 May.

  • All sessions will be bookable via the Yearly Meeting Planner from 19 April.

While full details of the programme are not yet available, we have provided an outline of the programme over the Yearly Meeting weekend so that you can plan your time and travel. See the end of this email.

For those attending in person at Friends House, you may arrive any time from 15:00 onwards on Friday 27 May. If you need to drop off luggage earlier, you may do this from 12:00.

Could you volunteer?

Yearly Meeting relies on the support of a lot of volunteers to make it run seamlessly. Please consider getting involved in creating a warm, supportive and inspiring event for all participants.

Volunteers take on a variety of roles such as doorkeepers, microphone stewards, members of the Pastoral Care Team and serving on Yearly Meeting Nominating Group. Guidance/training will be given for all roles.

Could your meeting join All-together worship?

On Sunday 29 May (10.30 to 11.30) we are holding a huge meeting for worship, taking place across Britain. We will come together as a single, loving, inclusive and all-age community across the length and breadth of Britain Yearly Meeting. Could your meeting join us?

A shared reading will be circulated in May to support this, together with materials for those supporting children’s worship.

We hope to share a list of participating meetings, for those who would like to attend in person locally. The deadline to be included in that list is 6 May. The list will be made available on the Yearly Meeting website.

Youth, Children and Families programmes

There is still time to book children and young people onto these programmes so do share this information with those you know. Sessions run from Friday 27 to Monday 30 May. For those aged 0-15, places will be first-come-first-served. Some online activities will also be run alongside in person programmes. Places need to be booked in advance, by 6 May 2022.
