Today marks the last day of the 2022 Legislative Session here in Alabama.  If you've been following our updates, you know it has been a big one for education! Perhaps most notably, legislators passed a record $8.26 billion education budget with increased teacher pay,  funding for both the Alabama Numeracy Act and the Alabama Literacy Act, a new grant program for summer & afterschool programs, and more. The budget now goes to Governor Ivey for final signature.  Read our summary of the budget here.

>A+ College Ready Updates: AP Mock Exams kicked off this week! Alabama AP teachers from many disciplines were trained by national consultants to score AP exams. Collectively, these teachers read almost 4,000 student exams! Teachers will use the mock exam results to tailor their instruction for the last few weeks of classroom time before the AP exams in early May.  Thanks to all of these teachers for your hard work!
