Palm Sunday is the Final Collection Day
for Charleston County Youth Detention Center Donations
THANK YOU to all who have contributed Easter cards, toothpaste, body wash, deodorant, and Hershey chocolate bars for the youth at the Charleston County Youth Detention Center. We have come very close to meeting our goal of filling 50 bags! If you haven’t had a chance to bring in your items, please do so by this Sunday, April 10. Collection baskets are in Guerry Hall and Walton Hall.
If you haven’t purchased an item and want to, we would suggest either body wash or men’s deodorant (Full-size). Any extra donations will be given to the Detention Center for their supply closet to meet needs as they arise this summer or fall.
Cards are greatly appreciated. We hope to put multiple cards in each bag. A brief note sharing God’s love will bring hope to these youth. Please remember to sign your first name only and don’t seal the envelope. Also, if you write the same message in multiple cards, please rubber band your cards together. Thanks!
Lastly, but most importantly, please pray! Pray for hearts to be opened to receiving the love of Jesus Christ.
Questions, please contact Chrissy Binz or Libby Puckette. God bless you.

April 10. Palm Sunday
Almighty and everlasting God, in your tender love for us you sent your Son our Savior Jesus Christ to take upon himself our nature, and to suffer death upon the Cross, giving us the example of his great humility: Mercifully grant that we may walk in the way of his suffering, and come to share in his resurrection; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.
