Yes, for the sake of our staff, our youngest patients and our immunocompromised: Masks are STILL required at TVP for all entrants over 2 years old.

Please bring your own mask for each person over 2 years old who enters our building.

Please remember to bring your insurance card with you (or send it with your child). It is good practice to keep it on hand for every appointment with us. Thank you!

Hand, foot and mouth (coxsackie virus).

Many of you have also been affected by the stomach bug that is in our community. For tips on how to manage the stomach bug for all ages, see our symptom tracker on our homepage!

Announcing a new program for TVP patients!
The Language Boost for Toddlers: Parent Coaching package is ideal for parents of children between 12 and 24-months old. Parents are taught strategies to use when interacting with their toddler in order to encourage communication development. This option may be a stand-alone educational/preventative service or may be a precursor to evaluation and subsequent therapy, depending on the child’s needs.

Cost: $240 for 4, 40 minute sessions.

At this time, this program is a self-pay module.
Please see our website for details on how to register or click this link to register your interest.

The Counseling Corner:

Eating Disorder vs. Disordered Eating, What’s the difference?

As our child grow up in our society, you will no doubt notice your child having strange eating habits from time to time. From eating butter straight off the stick to refusing pretty much anything you make, to suddenly disliking a certain food. So when do you need to be concerned? It can be confusing. Couple this with a society that prizes a certain body type (which does change throughout time!) and looking perfect at all times, it can be tricky to know when to be concerned with our child’s habits versus what is normal behaviors.

See our website's Mental Health Newsletter Page for more information on the difference between disordered eating and eating disorders.

The heat is creeping in and summer will be here before we know it. Water is even more important than normal in the high temperatures. Here are tips for getting kids to drink water:

  • New cup/water bottle
  • Exciting cup/water bottle
  • Silly straws
  • Keep it cold
  • Serve it with meals
  • Add flavor with fruit
  • Drink it yourself
  • Have it always available

If struggling to cut back on non-water beverages consumed by your child, start with alternating; make every other cup provided water.

Individual consultation and group classes available now.
