Construction has begun on the Cristo Redentor Church for a new site of the Christ Kids program! Phase I will add a kitchen, bathrooms, and foyer. Phase II will add offices and classrooms on a second and third floor. A third phase will eventually add around thirty feet to the length of the sanctuary. For 2022, however, the new kitchen and bathrooms will allow us to expand Christ Kids to the Parque Industrial neighborhood. We hope to begin with twenty-five children in June, and then later, once the facilities are adequate, expand to sixty children. Total budget for Phase I is around $50K and to date we have raised half of that.
Parque Industrial is a neighborhood with great needs, but the church, led by Pastor Percy Padilla, is having an impact. Now through Christ Kids, dozens of children living in deep poverty will get compassionate healthcare, nutritious meals, professional tutoring, along with faithful Bible instruction and catechizing.
Can you help us build a kitchen and bathrooms for the Cristo Redentor Church and for Christ Kids? Would you consider sponsoring a child (we currently have twenty-five children who are awaiting sponsors)? Please join us in praying for Pastor Percy and the Christ Kids team in the Cristo Redentor Church.
