She’s an environmental scientist, the founder of Mercury Australia, and an early career DECRA Research Fellow at CHL’s Department of Archaeology and Natural History. Dr Larissa Schneider has already taken significant strides in her career, and the most recent feather in her cap is an international award she has just received—the ICMGP (International Conference on Mercury as a Global Pollutant) 2022 Emerging Researcher Award. Katerina Teaiwa: Project Banaba

The works and personal narratives of Banaban scholar and artist, CHL's Professor Katerina Teaiwa, are a travelling multimedia installation commemorating the history of Banaba, also known as Ocean Island in the Moana Pacific.
The exhibition explores the untold New Zealand phosphate mining history in Banaba Island; and the resilience of the Banaban community in the face of social
and political adversity.

ANU Friends of Sanskrit Seminar: 'What non-Buddhists should know about Buddhism'

Paul Kauffman for four years studied Indian society, culture and religion with Arthur Basham and South Asian languages with Luise Hercus and Jan de Jong. He then spent two years in Rajasthan completing an ANU PhD.
He was the first person to translate most of the King of Deep Meditation Discourse (Samādhirāja Sūtra) into English.

Tok Pisin Language and Cultural Awareness Micro-credential
4–8 April 2022
CHL's signature micro-credential in Tok Pisin Language and Cultural Awareness is designed to prepare professionals currently working or expecting to work in Papua New Guinea (PNG) by immersing them in Tok Pisin and gain knowledge of daily life in PNG by way of intensive language training, video footage of real-life situations, and group discussions.
