Women in Games

Four cards from a game lay on a table, each with different color borders labeled with numbers. One says “Suffragette” with an image of a bicycle. Two says “______ provides sexism exists” with an image of a smartphone. Three says “Feminism is ____” with an image of a tree. Four says “Feminist” with an image of a smartphone.
It's Women's History Month! We’re proud to celebrate the women who help build our games, like the team that worked with us to publish Beautiful Trouble to the creator of Disarm the Base, which we just added to our store as a pre-order item, and many more! Throughout history, women have been a major part of progressive game design—just look at Suffragetto from the early 1900s which you can print and play at home today, as well as the true history of The Landlord's Game (the subversive origin of Monopoly)! We’re excited to offer games that highlight feminist themes, like Loud & Proud, pictured above. And of course — cheers to all the women gamers out there—not just during Women's History Month, but all year round.
