Seen our new website? We designed it for you!
The last couple of weeks have been packed with activity at the Zcash Foundation. We finished redesigning the Foundation's new website, with the goal of providing a more intuitive and user-friendly experience that clearly indicates who we are, what we stand for, and what we aim to achieve.

We also launched the Zcash Grants Hub - a one-stop-shop for Zcash Community Grants, Zcash Foundation Grants as well as future community funding programs. The new grants hub offers improved functionality compared to the old grants platform, enabling community members to apply to a variety of funding programs that will become available during 2022.

We finalized our 2021 quarterly reporting
As part of our commitment to transparency, the Zcash Foundation finalized its quarterly reporting for the year 2021 by publishing its Q4 transparency report which can  be found here.
Zebra beta.6 adds RPC support
We released Zebra beta.6 which adds RPC server support, including some of the RPC calls needed to become a lightwalletd back end. This is a huge milestone for Zebra engineers as it brings Zebra one step closer to executing transactions.
We released v03 of the FROST IETF draft specification
In the v03 FROST spec, collaborators including Zcash Foundation members worked on:
  • Refactoring the second round to use state from the first round (#94).
  • Ensuring that verification of signature shares from the second round uses commitments from the first round (#94).
  • Clarifying RFC8032 interoperability based on PureEdDSA (#86).
  • Specifying signature serialization based on element and scalar serialization (#85).
  • Fixing hash function domain separation formatting (#83).
  • Making trusted dealer key generation deterministic (#104).
  • Adding additional constraints on participant indexes and nonce usage (#105#103#98#97).
  • Applying various editorial improvements.
  • We also updated our frost-ristretto255 implementation to be v03 compatible

Progress on the IETF draft specification can be tracked here.
