A robust, rollicking time at Saturday's Model UN!

The Civitas spring high school Model UN session this past Saturday was great fun for all. Everyone gathered in the lovely  Browning Auditorium on the Webster University campus to present, discuss, and vote on many interesting resolutions. Topics included Helping Ukrainian refugees, Addressing China's Control in the South China Sea, Loss of Biodiversity, Health Care, and Cracking Down on Russian Oligarchs. All but one resolution passed; the one that did not ended in a tie, a rare occurrence at Model UN sessions. And in keeping with United Nations protocol, Health Care for Venezuela was recorded as not passing as a result of the tie vote.

You are invited to the League of Women Voters' Trivia Night

Civitas has a proud history of sending delegations to the annual Trivia Night sponsored by the St. Louis Chapter of the League of Women Voters. This year’s session will be this Saturday, April 9, from 6:30 PM – 10:00 PM at the First Congregational Church of Webster Groves; 10 W. Lockwood Ave.; 63119 (map).

We will have two tables of ten and would like to invite any student or group of students who is interested in being part of the Civitas delegation. You can sign up by clicking here. If you are part of a group, please let us know who else is in the group so that we can do our best to ensure that you and your friends are at the same table.

Civitas will pay the admission fee for all, but should one or both of our tables win, everyone splits up the prize money. Proof of vaccination is required.
