Why Team Coaching Yields Results and Helps Build High-Value Adding Teams
<<First Name>>, are you getting a bit tired of the 'high-performing teams' concept?
I mean, don't get me wrong, we all appreciate high performance.
But when it comes to teams, it seems that we're never really 'getting there', that there's always 'more' that needs to be done, and it's hard to keep going and going and then not really 'feel' that we've reached that 'high-performance' we're talking about!
Talking to team managers these days feels more and more like a therapy session.
A lot of them feel exhausted, confused, second-guessing their decisions and feeling like they are on a constant hamster wheel.
Maybe you are one of them. I'm sure you know some of them!
And here's the thing: most of the team managers I talk to are actively looking for solutions that help them and their teams communicate better, build trust, understand how they can create value together, align to a purpose that they all feel driven by, get things done in a way that helps them feel fulfilled.
And the key: in the long run! NOT short term.
That's why high-performance is not the key, that's the door we want to open. Building value-adding teams is the key that opens that door!
High-performance is a cycle: preparation, performance and recovery.
We need to be able to effectively navigate the whole cycle in order to sustain a high level of performance.
Think about high-performing athletes: they are NOT at their peak performance levels ALL the time!
They train, they prepare, they plan, they perform, they rest, they recover, and then they start all over again.
The same happens with teams.
As part of a team, you are like a high-performing athlete going through this cycle.
So are your team mates.
So is your manager, or so are you as the manager or leader of your team.
Team workshops help the team learn about things that they can do to improve the way in which they work together. The results they get very much depend on how the team applies those new techniques in their work afterwards. Team coaching helps the leader and the team build high value together in the long run: understand what works and why doesn't work for them, agree on what's important to them, align to a common goal, implement new ways of doing things, adapt to the new habits and embed them in their work.
Much like an Olympic team working towards their participation in the next Olympic games!
So why does team coaching give results?
Because we work to identify and solve the team's specific challenges: • Facilitate teams to work with each other and every stakeholder across the organization
• Help leaders best operate within this new team-based model
• Help team members think beyond themselves and their own team to consider the organization’s larger objectives as a whole
• Help teams develop clarity of purpose
• Help teams explore and adhere to their values and ethics
• Embrace a teaming culture and optimize organizational development
That's why teams and managers appreciate this approach and why I love training & coaching teams rather than just 'train' them.
Learning is movement from moment to moment.
With team coaching, teams learn to move together towards a purpose they believe in.
<<First Name>>, do you...
* Wake up with ideas that you can get out of your head often?
* Always see solutions that others may not see?
* Feel you're always open to new possibilities?
* Get excited by doing things 'different'?
* Feel like the odd one out, always told "Not now, it's not a priority"?
The reality is, thinking different, working different or leading different will never be 'a priority', since this means you are challenging the status quo!
If not you, does this sound like someone you know?
We'll share the results of a case study that found what a Game Changer is and how they make an impact in this world.
Together, we will explore:
1. The natural "proclivities" of this obsessive creative energy to challenge the status quo, see new possibilities, create or look for unique ideas, and have the energy to transform change.
2. What motivates and frustrates a Game Changer
3. Why Game Changers are needed in this world today
4. Real-life stories from different types of Game Changers
