EASTBOUND SH 358 MAINLANE, RAMP CLOSURES SCHEDULED Mainlane barrier work continues on SH 358 Ramp Reversal Project
CORPUS CHRISTI – As part of the SH 358 (South Padre Island Drive) Ramp Reversal Project, Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) contractors have scheduled overnight closures of SH 358 eastbound mainlanes and ramps next week.
The closures will allow contractors to continue construction of the new permanent barrier between the eastbound and westbound mainlanes as well as continue removing temporary barrier between Everhart Road and Staples Street.
Contractors have planned overnight closures on the eastbound mainlanes at Staples on Sunday through Wednesday nights from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night. All eastbound mainlanes will be closed at Staples. Drivers will exit at Staples, continue on the frontage road and may re-enter the mainlanes after Staples. The eastbound entrance ramps from Weber Road and Everhart will also be closed. Drivers may enter eastbound SH 358 after Staples.
Meanwhile, daytime and nighttime closures may occur along the eastbound frontage road and turnarounds for miscellaneous work.
All work is weather permitting. Lane closures are subject to change without notice.
