This is a chance to connect as humans AND to advocate for our priorities as professionals.
Our next bargaining date is the Thursday after break (March 14th.) If you have been following our bargaining updates, you know that progress has been slow. From conversations at schools, we know how many staff urgently want to see progress at the bargaining table, especially as we get close to the end of the school year.
Staff has democratically elected a bargaining team and shared collective priorities. Let leadership know how important your priorities are! We want to protect PBL, ensure a qualified teacher and support for every classroom, cultivate sustainable and stable working conditions, and earn equitable pay as educators.
We hope that after a day of connection and play on Monday, central leadership will be motivated to come to Thursday’s bargaining table with proposals that show they value us as professionals.
