Information Sharing

 
This past week the White House announced and initiative to streamline information sharing between ports, shippers, carriers, 3PLs, and other stakeholders.

Freight Logistics Optimization Works (FLOW) hopes to "develop a proof-of-concept information exchange to ease supply chain congestion, speed up the movement of goods, and ultimately cut costs for American consumers" per a White House Fact Sheet.

"I'm very pleased with industry’s willingness to partner, share data, and develop new information that will help the goods movement chain operate more efficiently," said U.S. Port Envoy John D. Porcari

Duquesne University’s Center for Excellence in SCM in partnership with the Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM) is offering instruction and certification for this course. Additional information and registration can be found online 

This course will be taught in a hybrid style (on campus at Duquesne’s school of business) and concurrently virtually on Zoom or Teams.
