GREETINGS CAMPERS AND FRIENDS.

I look forward to seeing those of you who make a return visit to the camp and to meeting new folks who visit this coming season.  I just took a ride up to visit with my daughter in Johnstown, NY and check on the progress of the "Forest Moon" cabin.  I was thrilled to see it is almost complete. This Amish built cabin has been put together with great integrity and care and I already can sense the pleasure it will bring the many folks who decide to make this their home away from home as they seek a peaceful experience in nature at Camp Earth Connection.

The interior of the "Forest Moon" is also nearly complete.  Forest Moon will be located on top of Hammond Hill a short distance from the campground.  Looking at this photo of the kitchen - if you can imagine...the opposite wall will features 4 large double windows as well as a double glass door facing the South and letting in the morning sunshine and the evening Forest Moon. Wishing everyone a safe and joyful Spring season.

With Peace and Gratitude,
Esha
EARTH JUSTIC MURAL
@Camp Earth Connection

We are just $362 dollars away from our goal of $2,000 for our Earth Justice Mural

We are excited for this mural to reflect the values of Camp Earth Connection - empowerment through diversity and connecting with the land.  Since its beginning, Camp Earth Connection (CEC) has been a strong advocate for inclusive nature and social justice programming.   Help us bring local artist and activist, Khalil Bey back to Camp Earth Connection to complete this mural.  Even small donations are helpful.

WIth Peace and Gratitude,
Esha

GIAC (Greater Ithaca Activity Center)
visits Camp Earth Connection
this summer
for the "Nature Detectives" Program

This summer PJ Rausch Moran returns to Camp Earth Connection with his 7 and 8 year old campers on Thursdays for 5 weeks for the "Nature Detectives Summer Program."   Camp Earth Connection makes this program available at no cost for PJ's camper group.  PJ has been working with children at GIAC and Camp Earth Connection for the last 10 years, and is loved by children and staff alike.

Camp Earth Connection is happy to introduce Robin Marks as the new Camp Caretaker.  Robin grew up in the Ithaca area and spent much of his youth adventuring in the surrounding countryside and woodlands, a love for which he carries to this day. His current projects and pastimes include working in gardens of his own and others, and taking long walks with Cumin the dog.  Robin and Cumin are excited to be out in the woods at camp Earth Connection this summer.

Camp Earth Connection is pleased to have Connor Millard join our team as the Assistant Camp Caretaker this season. Connor has experience as an educator with Primitive Pursuits and has been a Wilderness Field Guide in Utah and Georgia.  Connor feels more alive when he is outside in nature.  Connor values community and communication and is very excited to share the beauty of Hammond Hill with our guests this summer.
