Living History Re-enactors
Be on the lookout for several re-enactment troops as they storm Little Wars 2022. If you
keep your eyes open, you might see:
Greek Hoplite Warriors – 4th & 5th Century BC - Reenactors, historians, educators and amateur archaeologists from the Milwaukee and Chicago areas portraying the Classical Greek city-state of Hoplite (Bearer of arms/Warrior) of the 5th and 4th centuries BC. They will display accurate reproduction items commonly used by Hoplites during their military service. You are welcome to engage with them, ask questions, comment on objects and related historical events, and share the experience of our unique hobby.

U.S.S. Steppingstones Civil War Naval Group- While exploring Little Wars, get a glimpse into an interesting period of US Naval History! U.S.S. Stepping Stones was used by the Union Navy first as a dispatch boat, and also as a gunboat assigned to patrol Confederate waterways. Originally a ferry boat, she served in Hampton Roads, and eventually served with the Potomac Flotilla, and the North Atlantic Blockading Squadron
WW1 German 353rd. Inf. Reg./88th Inf. Div.-Landwehr The Regiment has been pulled off the line, and has been ordered to Little Wars for R&R. The 353rd Inf. Regt. was a part of the German 88th Infantry Division. The division was formed in November 1914 as the Menges Division, named after its commander, and made up primarily of Landwehr troops. It became the 88th Infantry Division in August 1915 serving through the duration of the war,
WW2 US 90th Infantry 60th Inf. Reg. "Go Devils"- In Active Service in March 1942 As one of the premiere US Infantry reenacting groups join the "Go Devils" as they lead you through the proud history of the unit. The battalion is a part of a regiment that holds one of the most illustrious battle records in the U.S. Army during the twentieth century. During three bloody wars on three continents, the 2nd Battalion has played a conspicuous part in the division achievements of the Regiment and the 9th Infantry Division.
