"We chose a film that addresses several themes that seduced us for the initiatory journey and the evolution of a girl, stepsister of an adult man, her roadmovie through a dangerous and implacable Colombia but also a land of encounters and mutual help; for the penetrating gaze of this girl. The film reflects the raw reality, that of a country subjected to the violence of armed groups; for The performance, the quality of the script, the music, the beauty of the landscapes and the staging make us unanimously award the prize to El Arbol Rojo".
