A bunch of tales I wanted to share with you

A tale I read

Nocturne by Emily Berry
[Nocturne by Emily Berry]

A tale I heard

Singer Susan Boyle on her ambitions:

"I intend to keep going at a steady pace, to continue making albums and making people happy. I’d like to carry on until my mid-60s. As far as short-term ambitions, I’d like to try to ride a bike. I’ve bought a bike for myself, which is sitting out in the summer house. I already have an exercise bike at home that I practice on while I’m watching television."

A tale I saw

World Turned Upside Down by Daniel Cockrill

A tale I wrote

After Ian McMillan

For the blackbirds
I offer up a thought

for them peck at
while I leave them

on the roof of the flats
to the side of mine

while I walk through
my day wondering

what it would be like
to lift off the ground.
