Dear friend,

Do you know how richly loved and treasured you are? The Creator of the universe stepped down from Heaven in human form and gave His life for you. Even if you had been the only person to ever live, He still would have done it.

He says you are valuable, and He decided that He'd rather die than spend eternity without you. When He rose again just 3 days later, He conquered death itself and gave us the assurance that this world is not our home. It is just the beginning.

Like many of you, I have lost people I love. Or rather, they have lost me. They are living with God, and I am here - missing them. They are better off than I, and while I embrace the fullness of this life with all the gusto in my being, I am overjoyed to know that the best is yet to be.

This Easter, we celebrate the Best that is and was and is yet to come.
