Happy Spring from ADCG!

Hi <<First Name>>! Spring is finally here. Join us for the beginning of the growing season at the garden! So much is happening – we're hiring for multiple positions, hosting free workshops, planting seeds and eagerly planning for the farmers' market and CSA. Whether you sign up for a workshop, apply to work with us, or join a volunteer work party, we're excited to see you around the garden!

UPCOMING EVENTS @ ADCG
VOLUNTEER WORK PARTIES
Get out in the garden with us! Every Friday from 1-4pm. We'll be working in the greenhouse, moving soil and mulch, planting seeds, and constructing raised beds.
GARDEN TO TABLE UPDATES
Thanks to the work of volunteers, Gould Academy Students, and ADCG board members & staff, the greenhouse has transformed into a vibrant growing space over the past month. We are busy sowing seeds and delivering them to hosts at the Guy E. Rowe Elementary School and throughout the community (let us know if you want to host a flat of seedlings!). Keep an eye out for details about the upcoming seedling sale!
WORK WITH US
ADCG is hiring for two positions! Join our team!
AmeriCorps VISTA, Ending Hunger Corps

A VISTA service member will join our dynamic and hard-working organization as we work toward building a community food center and kitchen. They will need to be comfortable working with the public, friendly, welcoming and professional, organized and efficient, extremely adaptable and patient, willing to work with a wide range of people, and demonstrate support for diversity, equity, & inclusion. The VISTA will enhance our existing programs while developing additional resources to meet the needs of families experiencing low income, grow leadership among our youth and community members by engaging them directly in growing and harvesting food, preparing meals, and serving the community. The VISTA will also be adept with record-keeping, written & verbal communication, and completing time-sensitive tasks by the deadlines, including reports, grant application, newsletters, and social media updates. The VISTA will have access to free seasonal produce, an extremely supportive community of volunteers, hands-on learning opportunities in gardening & carpentry, and flexibility around working onsite and offsite depending on season and needs of our organization.
