How to make a more sustainable future?

Motor vehicles are the largest contributors to air pollution in the United States. In 2018, public transit in Southeast Michigan helped to save 281,314 metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent, an equal amount to the annual emissions of over 224,000 personal cars. Public transit helps to avoid greenhouse gas emissions in two ways. Firstly, people who ride transit are avoiding personal vehicle trips. Secondly, for riders and non-riders, transit improvements generally create land use efficiencies, where destinations locate closer to the households that travel to them.

The bus service is an idea created by the Regional Transit Authority of Southeast Michigan (RTA), in partnership with the Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority (TheRide) and operated by Michigan Flyer.  Try taking D2A2 to your next event in Ann Arbor or Detroit, and tell us about it using #HeyRTA

Detroit Tigers Opening Day!!

The Detroit Tigers are opening the 2022 season against the Chicago White Sox on Friday April 8th. There will be festivities happening in the downtown Detroit area.  Try taking public transit services: DDOT, SMART, QLINE and the People Mover.

QLINE Extends Free Rides 

"The QLINE has extended free rides thanks to the generous contributions from the Penske Corporation and Kresge Foundation, two of the QLINE’s foundational supporters," the QLINE said. No end date for the free-fare pilot program was announced. - ClickOnDetroit
