What: A 30-day challenge to take action for a better shared future

When: Now until Saturday, April 30

How: Take daily actions focused on the Sustainable Development Goals. Create your own team or join the general Brandeis Community team. Just use “Brandeis” in your team name or organization so we can find you!

Prizes: Top earners on Brandeis teams could win Patagonia fleeces, reusable water bottles, reusable straws and more!

Earth Week @ Brandeis is April 25-29, 2022

Presented by the Brandeis Sustainability Ambassadors, the Office of Sustainability and the Center for Spiritual Life

Monday 4/25:

  • 12-2 PM, Library, Gardner Jackson room: Citizen science event with Prof. Colleen Hitchcock

  • 12-5 PM, SCC Atrium: Clothing and book swap/donation

Tuesday 4/26:

  • 12:30 - 3 PM outside of Usdan: Environmental justice jeopardy

  • 6 PM Skyline MPR: film screening - details forthcoming

  • Dinner: Special Earth Day dinner in Sherman highlighting local/sustainable foods

Wednesday 4/27

  • 12 - 1 PM, Olin-Sang 201: Talking climate with with Prof. Sally Warner

  • 1 PM, Chapels Field: Yoga in Nature

Thursday 4/28

  • 12 - 1 PM (location TBD): Weeding with Herbicide Free Brandeis

  • 12 - 5 PM, Chapels Field: Famer's Market! Come buy products from local businesses!

  • 3:30 - 5 PM, outside Usdan: Make your own pot & plant a seed to grow something in your room! Bring your own container or use one of ours.

  • 5:15 PM, location TBD, Zen Zone Nature Meditation

Friday 4/29: Earth Fest!

  • 1-2 PM, SCC Atrium: "When the Land Speaks: A Journey into the Stories, Songs and Culture of the Living Presence of Nipmuc People," with Larry Spotted Crow Mann

  • 1-3 PM, Fellows Garden & Booths (rain location is SCC Atrium from 2-3pm following the above event): Education, advocacy, arts, music, and food

  • 3 PM+, G'zang roof: Rooftop garden planting and revitalization
