Good News

I often find it funny how I can get so excited about a piece of good news, like an embassy opening, discount ticket prices, or even just a photo shoot going well. I find it funny because we have news that is so much greater than all other things - That Christ loved us enough to come to earth, be born of a virgin, live a sinless life among those who sin without thought, offer himself up and die on a cross. He is the perfect sacrifice for us! The best news is that the story doesn't end there! He was in the grave 3 days but on Easter Sunday HE ROSE AGAIN!
We hope that over the next few weeks you will choose to remember the best news and smile about it often!
To add to that giddy grin, here are our good news updates!

We have new prayer cards!
If you would like a stack mailed to you just reply with your address.
All financial partners will have one in the next few days
During our photo shoot we got this golden nugget!!
Family Update
We have enjoyed a lot of quality family time since our last newsletter! We got to do a vacation in Orlando (not part of our original plan!), stay with family in Chattanooga, have Noah's parents come stay with us, and Noah got to go on a brother's trip! We also had Noah's sister and brother-in-law come stay!
We feel so blessed to have had this time as we are starting to say goodbyes. We enjoyed seeing some of our partners as well!

The kids are doing so well! Teddy is learning new things every day and loves all the adventures.  Emma Jane is 4 months old now and getting so alert and smiley ☺️
Noah's classes are going well. He has his big comprehensive exam in just 3 days so keep his studies in your prayers.  Vicki Lynn is busy organizing, scheduling, shopping and preparing for the move when not taking care of the kiddos
The Solomon Islands
We have heard lots of good news on the Solomon's front!

The first good news we can share is we are have a meeting with our director next week to start planning our launch, talk about assignments, and get ready for our orientation! We are finally in the home stretch!

We hope to have even more good news to share with you in the coming weeks!
Ministry Update
We have several dates coming up that we could use your prayer over!

Our next Newsletter will be a more in depth look at what some of these mean.

Please pray with us on these days that God would be glorified and that we would be able to care for each other and our children well while making steps in ministry.

From Watermelon to Taro: Bible Translation From Start To Finish
When: Thursday, Apr. 21 at 8 p.m. ET

When one Bariai church leader in Papua New Guinea was asked about reading the Bible in a local trade language, he said it was like eating watermelon. It was tasty, but it soon left him hungry again. When he read the Bible in his own language, it was like taro (a favorite root crop). Discover how Bible translation dramatically changed their perception of Scripture!
