Worship Booklets for Palm Sunday
Tomorrow we will be observing Palm Sunday at 8 & 10 AM. Cameron will be presiding and preaching. Music at the 10 AM will be led by Guest Musician David Austin and our choir.

As mask mandates increasingly lift in the Bay Area, and as COVID-19 moves in an endemic direction, we look forward to making masks optional for gatherings here at St. Aidan’s. While we are not yet ready to take this step for everyone, we are moving in that direction by inviting worship leaders who are fully vaccinated and boosted, and who feel comfortable doing so, to remove their masks when exercising that leadership in order to be more clearly heard. One exception to this shift is that worship leaders will remain masked while consecrating the elements at the altar. This modest step beyond our practice of the last several months is in accordance with diocesan guidance, the latest version of which can be found at:

Welcome to Postulant, Lisa da Silva, Ph. D.
Welcome to Lisa Da Silva, who is a Postulant in the ordination process toward the priesthood here in the Diocese of California, and has been engaged in her Field Education with us since February of this year.

Lisa is sponsored by her home church, St. Columba’s, in Inverness. She has already completed her theological education at seminary in Massachusetts, and received her doctorate in Religion & Philosophy here in California. Lisa’s Ph.D. areas of focus – ecology and cosmology - deeply inform her vocational and ministerial interests. They include aiding our church’s leadership in climate justice, encouraging discipleship in contemplative practice and advocating for indigenous solidarity. Lisa’s ethnic and cultural roots are Amazonian, West Indian, Latin and English. She teaches on Ethics and Indigenous Wisdom Traditions at the University of San Francisco, where she is currently a Fellow in the McCarthy Center’s Community Engaged Learning cohort. Some of you may have already met Lisa at our 8 a. m. service, at the Friday Food Pantry or during our Good News Gardening days. She looks forward to connecting with you all in the years to come!

Recipe of the Week: Chickpea "Tuna" Spread

Earlier this week as the weather turned warmer, we recalled a tunaesque vegetarian spread we'd originally had at Kateri's brother's house, one we've made a few times since. Kateri found the below recipe online, memorably titled "Chickpea of the Sea," and adapted it slightly using mustard, real mayo and no onions. It was awesome on fresh bread with lettuce and tomato. Enjoy!
