April Prayer Guide

"Prayer was never meant to be a merely personal exercise with personal benefits, but a discipline that reminds us how we’re personally responsible for others. This means that every time we pray, we should actively reject an individualistic mindset. We’re not just individuals in relationship with God, but we are part of a community of people who have the same access to God. Prayer is a collective exercise.” (Rev. John Onwuchekwa)

April 2022 Prayer Guide

Let's serve Mullins

Mullins, South Carolina is a town of roughly 5,000 people. The community was devastated by Hurricane Matthew in 2016 and continues to suffer loss of industry and employment opportunities today.

This summer, June 12-18, we will be traveling to Mullins minister to the needs of this hurting community through simple acts of service. Some of the work will include home repair, yard and outdoor construction work, hosting a VBS for an afterschool program, and meal preparation.

All are welcome (young children must be accompanied by their parents). If you'd like to be a part, please reach out to Eunike for more information no later than Easter Sunday, April 17.

Learn more about the efforts in Mullins by watching this video.

Caring for the Frames

Mary Frame has now begun chemotherapy to treat the cancer in her brain. During this time please consider volunteering to take food to the Frames on dates where meals are still needed.

Want to help, but can't take food?
  • Consider partnering with a friend to split the cost of food and labor.
  • Mary loves cards and notes of encouragement. Drop a word of love in the mail to her.
  • Mary can tolerate very short visits for prayer and encouragement. Reach out to Dr. Frame (email or call 407-977-4489) to coordinate a time that works for them. Please be patient as reply times may not be very fast due to their busy healthcare schedules.
Thank you for your care and ministry to Mary and to John. Questions? Reach out to Stephanie Ilderton.

Volunteers needed!

We could use some extra hands and willing voices to read Scripture, share the announcements, make coffee, and many other tasks. If you are willing to help out in any way, please reach out to Sara Jane Resh.
