Just like the tulips and daffodils blooming around us, the CIS team is feeling colorful and bright as the sunny and warmer days multiply! We are hoping to spread this feeling to you with the great spotlights in this month's eNewsletter. FIVE BASICS: A COMBO DEAL!

Being right next door to one another, our Site Coordinators at Falling Creek Middle and Falling Creek Elementary teamed up to create a mentor program! Ms. Harrison at Falling Creek Elementary identified some of her male kindergarten students, while Mr. Marti at Falling Creek Middle handpicked eighth grade students. The mentor matches meet every Friday for 30 minutes, which includes help with school work, playing games, and simply getting to know one another - the best way to build relationships! This CIS collaboration hits the nail on the head with two of our CIS Five Basics: a chance to give back to peers and community and a one-on-one relationship with a caring (almost) adult!
ALL HANDS, ALL SITES!

Our volunteer spots for All Site Volunteer Week are filling up fast! Make sure to reserve your spot today so you can be a part of this awesome week.

PARTNER SPOTLIGHT: BRACKET FOR BELLWOOD
Chris Dibble, one of our amazing Board members and Dominion Energy's Director of Power Generation Ops Support, did his team's annual March Madness bracket a little differently this year. Instead of team members paying cash to enter, they were instead asked to bring in a backpack full of school supplies in exchange for a bracket. In the end the team provided 20 backpacks for students at Bellwood Elementary School! This was an awesome way for Chris to introduce more of his team to the work of CIS and use a fun team building activity as a way to support Chesterfield students. Thank you to Chris and his amazing crew!
CIS-C RESOURCE CORNER
What's so Funny?
Did you know that April is National Humor Month? As an organization that works to inject mental health and wellness in every aspect of our care and services to students, we think humor is quite important! "Humor plays an essential role in our overall health. The ability to smile, laugh, and play is directly related to the way we express our personalities."

So in this month of humor, we encourage everyone to embrace their silly sides, and here are some fun jokes to get you in the mood with your kids!
