I'm not sure about you, but I like this particular season! Maybe because you can feel everything around you waking up. It's as if a full body stretch is in order right about now, right?
Well, I'm not sure if you are aware, but this month is all about 'creative beginnings'
according to my calendar and I couldn't help think that this is a great time to focus on our outdoor surroundings. Below, you will find a very short list of tasks that you and your family can participate in because, well...it's also 'Family Wellness' month.
Another special occasion this month is Mother's Day and I want to wish all the ladies reading this 'a day filled with love and a whole lot of pampering!!!'

A Ban on Blind Bidding
Although I don’t usually engage in political information on my social media, I believe in the existing model of selling homes. So many people are upset, because they lose “the home they want” in a bidding war.
However, the market is rapidly changing as even the general public can see, so selling homes should be going back to negotiations sooner than later. I personally just went through negotiations instead of bidding wars and all parties are happy. Feel free to reach out to me if you want to know more.

Government Announces Key Changes to REBBA (Real Estate & Business Broker Act)
EFFECTIVE APRIL, 1 2023
RECO (Real Estate Council of Ontario) is pleased to announce that the provincial government is making important changes to the law that governs real estate registrants in Ontario. The changes will strengthen consumer protection and raise consumer confidence in the real estate sector.
Some of the key themes include:
- Renaming the current law (REBBA) to the Trust in Real Estate Services Act, 2002 (TRESA, 2002)
- Updating the code of ethics
- Providing greater clarity about consumers’ options
- Removing the barrier to open offers
- Introducing a mandatory consumer guide
- Expanding RECO’s disciplinary and investigation powers
More information on the changes, which will take effect on April 1, 2023, will be shared once the Government announces key changes to REBBA effective next year.

Let the Grilling Season Begin!!
|
|
|
INGREDIENTS
- 2 pieces of Chicken (or substitute with Tofu)
- 1 ear corn, shucked
- 1 red bell pepper, halved and seeded
- 4–6 scallions, whole
- olive oil for brushing
- 1 –1.5 cups cooked quinoa
- 2–3 cups arugula (or other baby green)
- 1 avocado, sliced
- handful cherry tomatoes, halved
- ¼ cup cilantro leaves
- salt and pepper
- optional garnishes: freshly grated cheese (of your choice), lime wedges
- Chipotle Lime Dressing:
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons lime juice
- 1 tablespoon honey or agave ( if you rather leave this out, cut lime juice down to 2 tablespoons, add more to taste)
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon coriander
- ¼–½ teaspoon ground chipotle powder, more to taste
for Chipotle Lime Dressing:
- 1/4 c. mayonnaise
- 1/4 c. sour cream
- 1/4 c. buttermilk
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 2 tbsp. freshly chopped parsley
- 2 tbsp. freshly chopped dill
- 2 tbsp. freshly chopped chives, plus more for garnish
- Pinch of cayenne pepper
INSTRUCTIONS
- Pre-heat grill to medium high.
- Brush the red bell pepper halves, ear of corn and scallions with olive oil, grill until tender and grill marks appear, about 5-8 minutes. Alternately, bake the tofu, following those instructions.
- Cut the kernels off the corn, slice the bell pepper, slice the avocado, cut the cherry tomatoes in half.
- Slice the chicken if using.
- Make the dressing by whisking all together in a small bowl.
- Assemble the bowls. Divide and layer the quinoa and arugula, then arrange the grilled chicken ( or tofu) grilled corn, grilled peppers, sliced avocado and tomatoes around the bowl.
- Sprinkle with a little salt and pepper (especially avocado, corn and tomatoes)
- Top with cilantro and any of the other garnishes you like.
- Spoon the Chipotle Lime dressing over top (you may not need all).
- Enjoy these immediately or pack this away for a delicious take-away meal on the go!!!
