Whole Foods Applies for Conditional Use Permit (CUP) Change
This will affect their liquor license, operational and delivery hours.
Conditional Use Permits (CUP) are provided as a privilege and not a right. The City seeks the input from the local communities that will be affected by the CUP.
Whole Foods is seeking a change that will affect their liquor license, operating hours, and delivery hours. The changes are as follows:
Liquor License from Type 20 to 21:
Adds the sale of Distilled Spirits to Beer & Wine for consumption off premises.
Operation Hours Change:
Current: 7am to 10pm daily
Requested: 6am to 12am daily
Loading & Delivery Hours Change:
Current (Monday through Friday): 7am to 8pm
Current (Saturday, Sunday): 10am to 4pm
Requested (every day): 7am to 9pm
The Los Angeles Police Department has asked for the following minimum conditions be placed on the establishment for the conditional changes:
- Video surveillance system installed and maintained by the applicant and accessible to the Department for criminal investigations.
- All employees charged with the dispensing and/or service of alcoholic beverages attend the Department STAR training.
- Maintain good standing with no ABC related violations for a period of two years before being allowed to apply for a modification or upgrade of their permit.
- No signs shall be permitted which are visible from the outside which advertise the availability of alcohol consumption on the premises.
