Dear readers,

Today we celebrate the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace (IDSDP). Marked every year on 6 April since 2014, this day recognises the role of sport in contributing to change. Given the myriad challenges we face, sport must be harnessed as a tool to address existing inequalities and build back better.

At sportanddev, we are doubling up our efforts to reshape sport and development, and we advocate for greater recognition of the role sport can play in society. How are you marking IDSDP this year? Send us your articles at tandon@sa4d.org

As April also marks Autism Acceptance Month, we highlight an article on how sport is being used to promote the social inclusion of autistic children in Pakistan. We also feature a playbook for improving school sports, an event in French on sport for conflict prevention, a request for proposals, and the latest in research from the Journal of Sport for Development.
