Today we celebrate the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace (IDSDP). Marked every year on 6 April since 2014, this day recognises the role of sport in contributing to change. Given the myriad challenges we face, sport must be harnessed as a tool to address existing inequalities and build back better.
At sportanddev, we are doubling up our efforts to reshape sport and development, and we advocate for greater recognition of the role sport can play in society. How are you marking IDSDP this year? Send us your articles at tandon@sa4d.org.
Join the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA) for a multi-stakeholder dialogue on the role of sport in addressing inequalities.
