Welcome to our first newsletter of 2022

We ended 2021 on a positive note with our Christmas Cheer bringing much needed joy to many whānau. 2022 is proving to be another interesting year, as like many of you, we have had to navigate the impacts of COVID-19 across our services. Unfortunately, we have had to make the tough decision to close our Charity Shop in Taradale. We have loved being part of the Taradale Business Community and the support that so many of you have provided us. I want to thank all the shop staff and volunteers we have had over our years of trading – you have given so much, and we thank you!

We are set for a busy rest of the year across our services and will continue to deliver our services with love and kindness. With inflation increases and costs rising, our services are in more demand. But we remain steadfast in our vision and are ready and able to assist. We are supporting the Government’s COVID-19 Care in the Community Welfare response and playing our part to help our community during these challenging times. We could not do a lot of what we do without the support of so many of you, so once again, I give thanks to all of our supporters and funders who enable us to give back to others.

During times like this it is also important that we check in on ourselves and each other for support and strength.

Kia kaha, kia maia, kia manawanui
Be strong, be brave, be steadfast
