PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Welcome to April, GAA members! This month, we have new member news to share in our Member News and events section below.

At our March meeting members participated in drawing our model, Rosemary D. as shown in the photos.

We will have our next GAA meeting on April 14th th at 7pm, at BMAI (2228 Florencita Dr., Montrose, CA 91020). For everyone's safety, please continue to wear your masks. Remember: we need 8 artists to bring a piece of work so we can hold a mini-show, so please bring new artwork!

Our event for this month's meeting is an entertaining film about a famous artist. You can bring snacks for the movie if you like.

We will also continue our discussion regarding changes coming at BMAI and how it might affect GAA. Additionally, we are working on possible shows at BMAI and USC Verdugo Hills Hospital. The Montrose Arts and Crafts event will be held the weekend of June 4th and 5th. Would any of our members like to participate in this event?

MEMBER NEWS:

Helena, Vivianne and several other GAA members are participating in the Burbank Spring Show at the GEO gallery 1545 Victory Blvd. Helena won 2nd place. Congratulations!
Diane will be participating in the Magnolia Night Out, Pop Up art show (3000 W. Magnolia Blvd., corner of Fairview), on April 29th from 6pm to 9pm.
Glendale will be celebrating EARTH DAY on Saturday April 23rd on Artsakh Ave., 10am to 3pm. It will include many activities as well as art.
The Glendale Central Library, in the Reflect Space Gallery is showing "AS THE EARTH WANES", and Glendale Tree Stories, (you can write your own tree story for them). March 19 to May 7, 2022.
MAPPING THE SUBLIME: Reframing Landscape in the 21st century, is showing at the Brand Library from April 2nd to June 11th.
