Good Morning,
If you’re like me, you’re appalled and disgusted with what’s unfolding currently in Ukraine. And if you’re really like me, you have even bigger feelings of anxiety, stress, and grief. It seems wherever I turn, there are graphic images of war or heartbreaking stories of civilians being attacked. And as much as I try to turn my mind off or divert my attention elsewhere, I find that I can’t stop thinking about the current situation or worrying about what’s to come.
We’ve all been hit by a lot the past few years, and watching a senseless war unfold before our eyes, is pushing our mental health to the brink. However, there are things we can and must do to protect ourselves. Unfortunately, situations like the Ukraine-Russia conflict are a part of life, and learning how to protect our mental health during times like these, is crucial.
In this week’s blog, “Learn to Hope and Cope During Trying Times with our Tampa Psychologists,” I share some helpful tips you can use when the world is making you feel anxious and overwhelmed.
