Like Revival of the Mind and Newness of Life on Facebook

Dear <<First Name>>,

Happy Resurrection Day! Praise God that Jesus came for the purpose of not only dying for our sins but also to be raised for our justification! He isn’t dead; He is alive and we now have newness of life! (Make sure you see the powerful testimony at the end of the letter!)

Our trip to South Africa was amazing! It was such a blessing having Lisa travel with me. The ministry was more effective because we were able to minister together. We ministered in several different churches and revival meetings during the week, and Lisa also ministered in a three day seminar for ladies during some of the afternoons. The Lord did great things in each meeting. We saw people saved, healed, and set free.

People Receiving Jesus

In our previous letter, we told you that we were going to have tent meetings. Due to the torrential rain, we decided to have revival meetings in a rented hall instead. Quite a few churches got together and each night for seven straight nights, the hall was filled with hungry people for the Word. Each night there wasn’t a drop in attendance.

It was a blessing seeing all of the people touched by His Word and a hunger grew in them each evening. I preached over the course of a few evenings that we need a Revival of the Mind (Repentance), a Revival of Good Works, and a Revival of Relationship with God.

Revival Meeting

Many people think that repentance is only for when we do something wrong or when we receive the Lord. But repentance is a lifestyle of the believer. If we think that repentance is only for when we sin, or for Sunday evening services where we run down to the altar and beg God for forgiveness while promising to do better, we are doing ourselves a disservice. The bible tells us that we need to be transformed by the renewing of our minds (Rom. 12:2). That is what repentance is. With godly repentance, we have a change of mind, which affects our heart and in turn produces transformation. We all need to think like God thinks so that we can walk in the newness of life that Jesus’ resurrection produced for us.

If you are sick in your body and you don’t know that God wants you well, you need a Revival of the Mind! When you receive a revival of the mind, which is repentance, you are able to walk in the good works that He has prepared for you beforehand. A good work is a work that He does in and through you because only God is good. It is not a work you are trying to do for God. Thus relationship with God is key to seeing His good works evident in your life.

It was amazing seeing pastors and people receiving with their whole hearts. Before we departed for South Africa, we only had 5 students who had told us that they wanted to join the Bible school on tablets. I decided to bring a total of 20 sets of materials with me for new students. After preaching that we need a Revival of the Mind, many pastors decided that they wanted to be a student. We had over 15 more people that wanted to join after the meetings. So we ended up having too few materials.

New Students

Before we returned home, we had our third graduation. Nine students graduated and we were blessed by their testimonies about how the bible school changed their lives. One student in particular shared that he was depressed, going through many issues, couldn’t sleep, and was thinking of killing himself. However, a past graduate suggested that he go through the bible school. So he decided to give it a try and ended up completing the whole program. He said that when he couldn’t sleep, he would watch the lessons and would sleep like a child. After watching lessons, he would close his tablet and just thank God and cry for joy. He told us that the bible school transformed his life and rescued him from depression and hopelessness, and now he sleeps soundly.

We just want to thank all of you who are a part of what God is doing through the ministry in South Africa. It always amazes us how God’s Word changes lives!

Thank you partners for being such a blessing to so many people! TOGETHER, we are continuing to make a huge difference in people’s lives!
