Doctor Tshego: First Year Braai
South Africa: Stellenbosch Forestry Students' Association
As a tradition, SFSA hosts a "First Year Braai" for freshman students with the support from the department. It was held at the Paul Sauer Building on March 3rd in the evening this year. Several lecturers, including Prof. Talbot, the Department's most likable Head, as well as a few delegations from forest-related organizations like SAPPI, were present.
This event aims to officially welcome the freshman students, provide them a forum to meet each other and chat freely with people from the department. In the upper photo, Prof. Talbot was making a brief key note address and a warm welcome to first-year students. In the other picture, the SFSA chairperson, Sisanda Nobuhle Zondi, was leading the first-years in a game titled "name game." Read more.
