Superyacht Challenge Antigua
8-11 March, 2022
Four days of exciting racing with nine superyachts competing in the crystalline waters of Antigua. Among them Swan 90 FREYA, which will be 10 years old in a few months. This charming yet highly competitive “lady” gained second place in the Corsairs class.
Ken Keefe, Nautor's Swan sales representative in San Francisco, commented "25-27 knots in the Caribbean Sea with a big sea running hard off the coast of Antigua. Freya will be 10 years old in a few months, she is as finely built as any boat in the world! We have a good crew, the other boats have professional drivers, I have Don driving the boat at 70 years old. In this picture, I am giving Don a break, you can see how twisted the leech of the main is as we crash thru the wave."

St. Barths Bucket Regatta
St. Barths, 17-20 March, 2022
The St. Barths Bucket, cherished by sailors from all around the world, welcomed a fleet that represented the world’s most magnificent sailing yachts, among them, Swan 98 Drifter Cube and Swan 90 Freya.
Freya won Les Petites Dames class – a brand new class for smaller boats in the 27-metre range. The crew of Freya know their job very well, having raced together for 10 years.
The St Barths Bucket is part of the Swan Maxi Series which kicked off last month in Antigua with the RORC Caribbean 600.

Scarlino Warm-up
Marina di Scarlino, 25-27 March, 2022
Swan OD Scarlino Warm Up, in its second edition, confirms that once spring has sprung, the teams are willing to stretch out after the winter and finalize the fine-tuning, test sails and race-preparation. Top international sailors together with representatives from the best sailmakers, made this weekend a real hotbed in view of the imminent start of THE NATIONS LEAGUE.
Among the ClubSwan 50s, the winning team of the 2021 circuit, Marcus Brennecke’s HATARI, is reconfirmed in great shape with the German Markus Wieser calling tactics.
The Belgian team of BALTHASAR (Louis Balcaen), which lines up the New Zealander Amish Pepper, also seems destined to be talked about. Olympians Iker Martinez (ESP) aboard Andrea Masi’s ULIKA and Will Ryan (AUS) aboard Hendrik Brandis’s EARLYBIRD will certainly be names to beat. Brand new boat ‘MOONLIGHT’ (Graeme and Raquel Peterson) joins the fleet for the first time, sporting stunning metallic silver livery with Olympic gold medalist Saskia Clark calling tactics.
Among the supercharged ClubSwan 36 class, where a new bigger mainsail has been tested, Pavesio brothers’ FRA MARTINA and newcomer YASHA SAMURAI will for sure put GSPOT (The nations League 2021 leader) in trouble with an expected-to-be exciting battle.

Swan Tuscany Challenge
Marina di Scarlino, 26-30 April, 2022
ClubSwan 50 and ClubSwan 36 fleets will gather in Tuscany in the beautiful setting of Marina di Scarlino. Organised with the Yacht Club Isole di Toscana, the Gulf of Follonica is known as a sailors’ paradise for the amazing conditions it offers in terms of racing and weather.
Marina di Scarlino General Manager, Mr. Stefan Neuhaus, comments: “As Marina di Scarlino, we are so glad to welcome the kick-off event of The Nations League 2022: Swan Tuscany Challenge.

40 entrants in Rolex Swan Cup

40 Swan yachts are already enrolled in the 21th edition of Rolex Swan Cup.
Among them, Swan 65 Venator, one of the finest examples of the legendary Swan 65 afloat today. This year the owner, Mr. John Sims-Hilditch and his crew will return to Sardinia: “To us, it is the most magnificent sailing event for a few important reasons. This beauty from 1997 has had the rig serviced by NSGS in-house rigging team.
As normal procedure on this type of job, NSGS has unstepped the mast, serviced all the rig elements and stepped the mast back on board.

Swan 441 Cala Luna
Today NSGS has an impressive story to tell. Some weeks ago, NSGS team was contacted by a Swan 441 asking for a pit-stop in our facilities. We found it very interesting since this captain was solo sailing all the way from New Zealand, with final destination his home in the UK. NSGS team has been assisting in putting the boat back in basic good condition for the final sailing destination. NSGS is happy to have contributed in a small way to this challenging adventure, we wish CALA LUNA the best of luck for the final sailing voyage home!
