March 2022

This March, I was lucky enough to finally host the long-awaited Transport Training Course at the amazing Milestones Ranch!  After being rescheduled to mid-March, this training allowed me to see so many people in person who were ready to complete their Sober Companion training.

We are in the middle of a mental health crisis, and trainings like this are vital to support those who need it most. Trauma-Informed Transportation helps people in crisis feel safe and supported, and going through crises with trained companions allow people in recovery to focus on empowerment rather than feeling micro-managed.

Seeing so many people come out to Milestones Ranch was truly humbling and reminds me that I am forever blessed to work with such a fantastic group of dedicated professionals.

Something that is infrequently discussed is women with Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and their recovery treatment options. Substance Use Disorders have historically been considered a male problem, something that women did not struggle with. This was not the case, however, as women have struggled with SUDs the same as men, just silently.
