A Word From Tina Drupa '22
A joyous part of the library is the unexpected conversations one can have. These conversations can be a nice pause in a fast paced day, similar to randomly finding a page of interest while quickly flipping through a book. While I was unriddling the Library of Congress classification system and getting distracted by book titles, it was almost impossible to imagine the endless worlds the books hold between their spines. I shared with Jane my sadness for all the books I will never have time to read in my lifetime; an abundance of knowledge so vast that it overwelms the excitement. It turns out that this is a common feeling among many called library anxiety. Jane and I exchanged thoughts about books being like people. We will never be able to get to know everyone who we come across in our lives in the same way or depth. Sometimes we only see faces like covers on the shelves, passing by without knowing their stories. However, a paragraph or a chapter sometimes is all there is, like an enduring, serendipitous conversation.

Ben's Recommendations
Last term the library sent out a survey asking if students had any library items they wanted to recommend. Ben Capuano '23 suggested the book MURAKAMI and the DVD set The Adventures of Antoine Doinel. Stop on by and have a look. They are on display across from the circulation desk.
