For the first time in several years the forest was extremely crowded during the Easter weekend. We saw people barbequeing in climbing areas, dangerously parked cars along busy roads and a lot of trash near car parks where people camp. These are just three examples of behavior that can have serious consequences. Consequences for safety and for forest conservation. We ask everyone to familiarize themselves with the written and unwritten rules in order to protect and preserve this beautiful forest. Forest fires are a serious danger right now. Any open fire is therefore prohibited (smoking is not allowed in the forest!). We kindly ask everyone: follow the rules and behave yourselves, especially in the upcoming weekends in which the many visitors can heavily impact the delicate forest.

There are only three places where a bivouac is allowed. La Faisanderie was inaugurated on April 1, 2022 and replaces the former Bois-le-Roi area.

The drought of the past few weeks is not good for the forest, but all the better for climbing: Nacho Sánchez repeated Satan I Helvete (départ bas) 8c. Tristan Chen repeated Gecko (assis) 8b+ and L'Insoutenable Légèreté de l'Être 8b (flash). Illya Bakhmet-Smolenskyi did the first ascent of L'Étambot (assis) 8b+ and repeated Antarctica 8b. Samuel Struthers repeated Mécanique Élémentaire 8b+, Ubik (assis) 8b, L'Insoutenable Légèreté de l'Être 8b and Elephunk 8b. Yoann Moreau repeated Mécanique Élémentaire 8b+, La Galinette Cendrée 8b and Lazarus 8b.  Duncan de Combiens repeated Gecko (assis) 8b+, Bleu Sacré 8b and Lazarus 8b. Elias Arriagada Krüger repeated Gecko (assis) 8b+ and L'Apparemment (bas) 8b.
