Dear Friends, 

Almost 25 years ago, the Lord clearly spoke to us about moving to Brantford to explore what it would look like to see a city transformed. Now, after 2 decades with a great team, many faithful friends and the ongoing wisdom and strength of the Lord Himself; we all have created a great transformation story that has gone around the world. We know that this story will bless people for generations to come as we continue to “hear God and obey”.

As you know, last Fall The Freedom House Leadership Team all agreed that I would take an extended sabbatical to “rest, reflect and reset for the future”. During this time and after much consideration, dialogue and prayer; we have come to the decision that our role as the primary leaders in the Freedom House story has come to an end. With that, I have tendered my resignation as the Lead Pastor of Freedom House Church to the Leadership Team. This was neither the plan nor the desire when I went on sabbatical last Fall, but it has become the clear next step in our journey and the journey for Freedom House as well.

We want to thank The Freedom House Leadership Team for their love and support through this season. 

We will be back to farewell at the service on April 10, 2022 to give a more in-depth update on our sabbatical and how we have reached our decision regarding our future, but we felt that a statement would be important prior to that date since our sabbatical season is now over.

We look forward to seeing you on that day to celebrate God’s faithfulness to us all over the last 20+ years and look forward to what He will do in the future.
